Objective
To raise awareness of the Olympus audio products and recorders and increase sales surrounding the launch of their television advert campaign entitled 'READ MY LIPS' focusing entirely on digital mechanisms.
Strategy
After being presented with an open brief, Campus Media set about determining the key target markets by deploying a series of focus groups and market insight conversations with our brand agent network. It became clear that key faculties that we would target included medical, media, communications, journalism and law students.
Online we ran banner ads across some of the best known students sites such as www.thebigchoice.com, www.nus.org.uk, www.studentdiscounts.co.uk and www.thenationalstudent.com as well as some student union sites.
To drive direct response our next focus was a subject targeted email campaign to the targets identified.
Results
5 million page impressions across youth channel: 0.19% CTR (9,500 clicks to microsite)
150,000 targeted emails: Open Rates: 33.1%. Clicks from Open Rate: 7.1% (3,525 clicks)
Total Clicks generated: 13,025
